STEELY & CLEVIE - Old To The New

Cleveland Constantine ´Clevie´ Browne junto com Wycliffe "Steely" Johnson formaram o famoso duo Steelie & Clevie, em 1987, que dominaram a produção musical na Jamaica por décadas. Eles ajudaram a transformar o dancehall adotando tecnologia digital.
Steely fez sua estréia no mundo da música como tecladista, enquanto Clevie como baterista. Tocaram pela primeira vez em Lee "Scratch" Perry's Black Ark Studios na década de 1970.
Eles tiveram carreiras promissoras antes de Steely & Clevie: Wycliffe "Steely" Johnson foi tecladista da banda Roots Radics e para muitos outros artistas leendários inclusive Bob Marley, enquanto Cleveland "Clevie" Browne foi membro da respeitada família musical Browne, tendo também tocado bateria com a banda In Crowd.
